The Gray Barn was closed for an extended period due to COVID-19, but we were thrilled to secure a weekend reservation as soon as it reopened. This place truly rejuvenates the soul, offering a peaceful escape from the chaos of the world. Visitors may not see the hard work that goes into the rescue efforts by the staff and animal doctors, but we witness the joy and contentment of the animals that have been saved. The barn features five rooms, three on the upper floors and two on the lower floors. The common areas are spacious, with a large refrigerator available for guests to store their drinks and snacks. Adjacent to the hotel is a small barn housing a delightful family of goats that eagerly greet passersby. We were treated to Reya's delicious early morning specialties, including mini-quiches and pancakes with Cheddar. The coffee was exceptional, and we appreciated not having to bring our own creamer. Reya kindly packed up our leftovers for us to enjoy later. We enjoyed listening to Reya's stories about the animal rescue work; she is a fantastic host. A private tour for hotel guests is available on Fridays at 5 pm, and we highly recommend it. We also joined a public tour to learn more about the farm and its inhabitants. Be sure to wear boots that can be easily cleaned, as you will be walking through pens. The newly opened bunny barn allowed us to feed the animals and meet the friendly cow, Colin. Anna, the guide, impressively knew all the animals by name. We saw many children on the tours, and it made us wish we had learned about farming at a young age. The guides provide honest insights into the life of farm animals, treating them with care and respect. Visitors can also volunteer to help out during their next visit. With 400 animals and 150 acres to explore, there is plenty to see and do. We can't wait to return, but it's best to book early as they are only open Thursday to Sunday and fill up quickly. I cannot praise this bed and breakfast enough. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and at peace. The building and rooms offer a stunning view of the valley below. The breakfast was fantastic and tasty - we could have kept eating all day. We also enjoyed a delightful tour and met all of the animals. I am looking forward to returning soon.

The Gray Barn was closed for a long time due to Covid, and we eagerly booked a weekend reservation as soon as they reopened. This place is truly a haven, offering peace and happiness that can be hard to find in the world. Visitors may not see the challenging side of the work done by the staff and veterinarians to save farm animals, but they can appreciate the joy of the animals that have been rescued. The inn has 5 rooms spread across 3 upper floors and 2 lower floors. The common areas are spacious, and guests can help themselves to the large refrigerator stocked with water, wine, and ice packs. Adjacent to the inn is the Tiny Herd Barn, home to a friendly family of goats that love receiving scratches from visitors. Breakfast, prepared by the Hotel manager Reya, is served from 8:30 to 9:30 and is not to be missed. We enjoyed delicious mini quiches and pancakes during our stay, along with excellent coffee. Reya even packed leftovers for us to snack on later. We were touched by Reya's stories about the work done at the animal rescue. A private tour for inn guests is offered on Fridays at 5, and we highly recommend taking it. We also joined a public tour, which was informative and eye-opening. Be sure to wear boots that can be easily cleaned, as you will be walking through pens and barns. The Bunny Barn is now open, and we had the opportunity to feed Alfalfa-Nubs to the adorable cow Colin. Our guide, Anna, knew all the animals by name, which was impressive. We saw many children on the tour, and it was heartwarming to see them learn about agriculture in a truthful and respectful manner. We are looking forward to returning and possibly volunteering next time. With 400 animals and 150 acres to explore, there is plenty to see and do. Book your stay early, as the inn is only open Thursday to Sunday and fills up quickly.

We are here celebrating our anniversary. The Gray Barn is stunning. The aesthetic inside is perfect and cozy. Stocked with books and games. The breakfast is incredible! And the tour was awesome. I would 10/10 recommend!

I had an amazing experience at this place. I celebrated my first wedding anniversary at this incredible property, which is fully vegan. As a vegan myself, I was thrilled to have a space that aligned with my dietary preferences. The sanctuary and the impactful work of this organization left a lasting impression on me.
