Once we were in the park, the day turned out to be fantastic! There were hardly any crowds, which made the lines short. Our first ride was Candymonium, and wow! That 216-foot drop was exhilarating! I hadn’t been on a coaster in over 20 years, and it really brought back the thrill! Next, we decided to ride the oldest coaster in the park, The Comet. It was a bit bumpy and shook my ponytail loose! I had to hold onto it and my neck for the rest of the ride. If you’re not used to coasters or have neck issues, I’d recommend skipping this one! The games were a nice blast from the past, and there’s a section dedicated to younger kids with activities like face painting. This is definitely a family-friendly destination. Hershey Park also offers food and drink packages, some of which are unlimited. If you're visiting with family, I'd advise getting one of those packages since food prices can add up quickly. As for the food options, we had burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken strips, and pizza. Unfortunately, the price didn’t match the portion sizes, and the quality was just okay. The lemonade was refreshing, though! A tip: consider pre-purchasing your food, drinks, and parking online. It’s really convenient. Overall, we had a great day, and I would definitely return. I hope you have a wonderful experience, too!

We took our three kids, ages 5, 5, and 8, to Hershey Park last weekend, and we were really disappointed to find that 90% of the children's rides were closed. There was no prior notification about this on the website; in fact, it stated that the rides would be operational during the Halloween season. My kids were very upset, and after spending so much money, they only got to ride three rides. With most of the rides unavailable, we ended up waiting in extremely long lines for those few rides that were open. When we inquired about the situation, we were told that it was due to "Dark Nights," which starts at 6 PM, but we had arrived at noon when the park opened. Considering that this trip involved nearly a two-hour drive and cost over $300 for our family with very little return, it was a terrible experience overall.

The front entrance has been nicely remodeled, but I haven’t had the chance to explore it fully yet. I did manage to bring in two bottles of water, which helped save on soft drink costs throughout the day. The souvenir cups have gone up to about $20 each, and the drink refill stations are efficient—you simply scan the barcode on your cup, but make sure to get your ice first, as the timer starts as soon as you scan. On hot days, the water park tends to be packed, leaving very few spots to stash your belongings. I try to take days off to visit during the week, which is a much better experience with smaller crowds. Do keep in mind that the water park is located at the back of the park, so be prepared for a bit of a walk. Now, some drawbacks: the park closes at 8 PM, and I feel a later closing time would be much better. Chocolate World also closes at the same time as the park, whereas it used to stay open an extra hour, allowing more time to enjoy everything inside. Additionally, many of the kiddie rides didn’t have attendants and were closed. I plan to return next summer on a weekday, as I missed out on trying their newest ride.

Operations are not up to amusement park standard. Visited Labor Day 2023, clear lack of training and operational know how was present in all parts of the park. First, the engineering of the parking lot is not able to handle any significant rush or load more then say 50 cars at a time. Things get bottlenecked and cause significant back ups. They have the room to improve on this but don't expect it to.Ride Ops: There is no urgency with any ride operations at this park. Most employees are engaged in conversations with one another rather than loading and unloading of guests and ensuring smooth and quick operations. Training and supervision need to improve.I'd be rich if I made money for the number of other guest who cut lines. Sorry but if your friends or family are ahead of me in line, they can come back and meet you, they aren't there to save your spot, my guess is Italians and hillbillies don't understand common decency and that line jumping can mean expulsion from the park, though i doubt that would be enforced since there was really no security presence throughout the day. Hershey was a quality park, there is no doubt that they invest in new rides when they can, however many of the older rides are neglected most likely due rising maintenance costs and inability to hire quality personnel, this is evident by the number of attractions that won't be operating when you visit and the number of rides that are on an extended closure. The top attractions do operate but are subject to frequent breakdowns. But don't expect any giveback from the park, its the typical carnival scam, they get your money and won't provide refunds. The workforce numbers need to improve in order to provide a truly great guest experience.

Their Ferris wheel is great as well.I've ate many things while here and it's your typical amusement park foods with a Hershey twist, ha!The chocolate tour is amazing! All in all this is probably one of the most chill and laid back amusement parks there is.Enjoy and don't eat too much chocolate;
