Nice selection of Italian food stuff, a deli in the back. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Definitely don't hesitate to stop in.

Not on... read more I grew up on salameat made by the original Louie P&R in the early 1970s. Recently I had a chance to visit Herrin, so I went to Louie P&R to get salameat. Not only did the clerk get my order wrong and overcharged me for the sausage, but the salameat itself was pitifully thin and pale and about half the size of the original. The taste was bland and there was no garlicky aroma like the old time big and plump salameat they used to make 50 years ago. I was disappointed. The deli is now gimmicky and offers bland sausages.

I asked for roast beef in it's place but when we got the 2 trays both had... read more I ordered a meat tray and asked not to have salami on it that we all had bad stomachs. I asked for roast beef in it's place but when we got the 2 trays both had salami and not one slice of roast beef on either one and it was loaded with pepper cheese. The meat was paper thin you could see through it when you held it up. This is the first time I've been very disappointed in Louie's meat trays. When I called in to complain no one returned my call.
