Burger Nook Cafe - Herrin

Burger Nook is a precious jewel in southern Illinois. Classic style cooking that prepared your grandma. My love got the country fried steak with potatoes and gravy. It was crispy and delightful. I got the Super Cheeseburger with French fries. It was a monster! It loved everything, absolutely delicious!! Larry is a great head cook. Quick, friendly and professional. 5 stars all day!!!

This was our second visit to this restaurant, and the food was excellent! My wife ordered the Book Burger and I had the breakfast platter. The staff was very busy, so there was a bit of a wait at times. We waited for about 10 minutes before our order was taken.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, the staff is extremely friendly, and the atmosphere is iconic. There are not many diners in southern Illinois that still serve authentic southern cuisine. Highly recommend checking it out!

The restaurant serves hearty, homecooked food in a nostalgic setting. The quality is always reliable. I just wish they were open for dinner service.

Lunch time was Excellent, I haven't been to Burger Nook in Herrin, Ill. For a long time. But, like I said, Lunch time was Excellent.
