I e... read more I had an amazing time at this restaurant and highly suggest you visit! The outdoor seating is lovely, while the interior is cozy and has a great atmosphere. I especially recommend trying the crab cakes and Seafood Spätzle and Cheese! I personally enjoy my whisky neat, but if that's not your taste, they also offer wine and tasty cocktails. The staff is fantastic and will ensure you have a fantastic dining experience. After your meal, head over to the Black Shire Distillery Tasting room for a little extra fun!

We sat outside a... read more Nestled in the quaint town of Herman, this restaurant, located next to the Herman Amtrak stop, has good service, a good location and good food. We sat outside and it was lovely. If you're taking a group, you may want to peruse the menu first because in the way of fine dining establishments, the selection of offerings is limited. For us, the prices were higher than we usually spend but with the state of the world right now, it may be the only way they're able to stay open, so I did not deduct anything from my rating. We shared a starter of Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese. The pretzel was warm and perfectly cooked. It made a nice carrier for the cheese. There were four pieces and two containers of cheese. I ordered the pork schnitzel, it came with cabbage, German potato salad and a dill gravy. A pleasant combination of flavours. My mom chose the hamburger and fries, she declared them to be exceptionally good. Because of the prices we wouldn't go every day but it made for a nice lunch as we traveled through Herman and we were glad that we stopped.
