Fried Oysters were amazing and I enjoyed sharing the fries of my friends. Main dishes were delicious, although a different turn than expected in some cases. Loved the free birthday glass champagne she threw in!
OMG, what a fantastic restaurant. Was in the mood for some seafood, so a little Google search and decided to give this place an attempt. No reservations, so when we were there, they had waited about 30min, but the hostess pointed out that there were open places at the bar. The bearder spoke my wife into the Salt Air Margarita, which is made with protein and puts a frit on the top. Wife with something sceptical, but ended to love it and got a second. I started with an order of their properties Oysters, Blue Points that were super sweet and very tasty. My wife got an order of tuna tacos that were also delicious. I have the fried group sandwich and it was probably the best fish sandwich I ever had. Easily baked, perfectly fried and all the kindness they put up. Man, it was good! I have an order of truffles with it. My wife grilled Mahi with one side of potatoes, which was really good. Great atmosphere, good seating and staff was extremely hard working. Very recommended. Good times and fantastic food!
What a great seafood spot in short pump. Nicely decorated, excellent choices and super friendly staff. TLDR: If you are looking for oysters, and noble seafood this is an excellent choice. Cocktails are at the top (try the salt air Margarita). If you choose between Sushi and Entrée go the entrée route. About $40 a person with a drink. Food: We ate here about half a dozen times. Everything is always really delicious and the presentation is also great. The oysters here and in their other restaurant (east coast) are some of the best in RVA. Corn Chowder soup, fish tacos, roasted group sandwich, and Rockfish were my favorites. My wife likes the sushi here, but I think you can find better elsewhere (it is by no means bad). The price is appropriately given place. Beverages: The salt air margarita is so good! One of their signatures, in our opinion. Fluffy foam on a tasteful treat. Your bar offers know how to make a drink and the price is fair. Atmosphere: comfortable and personal seating. Eating area feels like your own personal dining area. Very nice here. Loves the big round stands. Dessert: Have they not tried here yet. One day we'll stop and report.
Here for Sunday brunch and it was really good. They had a good variety and the presentation was beautiful. People were very good and we were well served. I would recommend it for brunch, we didn't try it for dinner, but it will.
We loved our dinning experience here at this classy seafood restaurant. We’ve visited it’s sister location East Coast down in Cary town many times and have always been impressed on service equal to taste. West Coast is no exemption to the quality of care taken towards its customers. The Press 2 For Sangria was light and fruity to taste but definitely had its strength behind it. The coffee press was a nice touch to creating the drink. It was our first time trying the Jalapeño Sushi Rolls which were suggested to us by the waitress and they weren’t all that spicy but yummy. Will always go for the Calamari here, with the added spring onion. Also, a must for dinner are the Crab Cakes atop sweet potatoes. Overall meal will cost you a pretty penny specially the crab cakes but when it comes to quality you won’t be displeased. $11.95 Calamari $12.95 Jalapeño Sushi Rolls $16.00 Press 2 For Sangria $33.95 Crab Cakes Total Cost of meal: $82.35
