The restaurant is quite BIG. Also has a very big choice of buffet menu. Especially wok menu is awesome, even frogs legs or sepia. Great choice of desserts and ice cream. All this tastes great. View all feedback.
What veronica vania doesn't like about Shanghai:
I 've got china restaurant syndrome after eating there. The taste is delicious but after that I was very thirsty(My body is very sensitive of this thing). I am sure that they put much MSG on the food. There 's lunch buffet everday and cost not so expensive. But I go there not for the food, just when I want to gather with friends, coz the place is a little bigger and the atsmosphere is good. View all feedback.
We love this place! Even our friends from France comes twice a year to Heidelberg just to eat at this place. Somewhat authentic food, but always very very tasty. Quick service, attentative and fun. We have never tried the all you can eat but that seems to be a very popular option as well. Large portions and nice set menus if you want to try a bit of everything.
The city was on lock down as it was packed with people just before Christmas. We were told that no restaurants were taking bookings. Well so be it and we found a space so tried this out. There was the option of a buffet at €14.90 or an a la carte menu. We went for the a la carte and later wished we had gone for the buffet. We selected two different dishes. One was a duck and other meats special and that was very nice but not hot as described by the menu. The other was a sweet and sour pork. Sadly this was not good the pork balls having a strange texture and flavour. We left most of that. I think we could have had a better meal had we chosen differently but this was a somewhat mediocre offering in the circumstances. The service was a little abrupt . We had a very nice local German wine but the bill for this relatively modest meal still came to over €50.
Fancied some Chinese food on a Monday night in the middle of moving house. This place seemed to be the closest. It's a large restaurant, but even on a Monday night there were quite a few diners and a pleasant hum of conversation. The evening buffet was on special for 10,90 Euros, normally 14,90, for all you can eat. This included two choices of soup, plain rice, fried rice and noodles, and a good selection of stirfry type dishes, with some deep fried items (prawns, calamari, vegetables) and some crispy duck. It also included a help-yourself icecream freezer! The decor was very tasteful, with a lovely ambience. The service was friendly, and more prompt than a lot of other German restaurants. Another table ordered a selection of dishes from the a la carte menu, which looked delicious as they came past our table. A good selection of beer, wine, tea and other non-alcoholic beverages was also available. We'll definitely be dining here in the future.
We were four people sharing a ridiculously large amount of food for just €74, would have been enough for eight. Everything was pretty authentic, and the servers can speak Standard Chinese. The spicy boiled fish 水煮鱼片 was not nearly as spicy as it is in China, which I was very happy with! Maybe you can ask for extra spicy if you like it. Also enjoyed a lot the yuxiang eggplant 鱼香茄子, which I think was completely vegetarian , the fried dumplings 煎饺 , and the banana split for dessert.
It is good. Both the selection and the quality. but you can't expect so much. is a normal Chinese buffet where you can go well. we will be coming back
