We had dinner here, on a Saturday night. the service was very good, the restaurant is beautiful. we have two options of the suggestions of the day: truffle paste and fish. the truffle pasta was very good; the fish much too...Salty but the price was far too high for the dinner we had.
Oh my heavens! We went here for a birthday dinner and I was so impressed by the food, the ambiance, and the service. Everything was divine. The setting is really lovely an old dining room that is decorated just perfectly. It's a gorgeous setting at...night and very romantic. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything. The service was very good, they did not hover but were always there to help or bring something. All courses were timed perfectly. No rushing, not too much time between courses. Honestly, I don't believe you can go wrong with this menu as everything was so good. It really changed my (shallow preconceptions about German cuisine. The restaurant is expensive, but worth it for a splurge. I think dinner for 4 was about $500 USD...or 500 euro. I can't remember. It was expensive though. ;
Weisser Bock is a restaurant situated in the heart of Heidelberg between the famous bar street (Untere Straße) and the river. It turned out to be the favourite place for me and my girlfriend! As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent...setting a wonderful mix between antique and the luxuries of modernity. Sitting in any table you have a wonderful view of the restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth watering starters. I had the Tartar, while my girlfriend tried the carpaccio. They were exquisite. The main course consisted in a tenderloin for me and ravioli with pumpkin for my girlfriend, which really thrilled us. It all was followed by a delicious dessert! All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home made food. The chefs takes great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. The restaurant also caters for all tastes by providing a large selection of the best wines of the region, which are worth sampling. The owner is always around willing to exchange some kind words with all her clients. We really had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours. For this reason I highly recommend going to the Weisser Bock! See you soon!
We were strongly recommended to take champagne. but they have calculated 19 eur per glass. 8,5 eur pro glass, but they have double charged, as it was only for 1 cl. greedy manager, I think.Attention as the cook understands his work
