What User doesn't like about Kurpfälzisches Museum:
after visiting homo heidelbergensis or other historical dinge in the Kurpfälzische museum heidelberg, many make a way around in the neighbouring restaurant. as much as I like the museum, so I must say that the restaurant has not convinced me completely. I would like to visit the museum after my next visit (which is really worth it) so I will probably eat more in one of the other countless restaurants in the old town. View all feedback.

The Kurpfälzische museum is worth a visit. it is already in the back third of the main street and is something hidden as I wanted, the first time I went smoothly. there are also interesting special exhibitions here, which also visit a multi-day visit without a long time. as the name already says, here is a lot to learn about the cure. if sometimes not so big weather it is worth visiting all!
I would have stayed unfaithful to my name if I would not evaluate such an interesting collection, especially if the previous editor is not really meaningful. Maybe that the time of more than 15 years since I really is far from here, but three things have remained to me today: the weather was terrible use, the museum itself had impossible opening times and a safe it is definiti! After so long it is not all parat, but what I have saved to this day I give the best! From the outside you can see at least the first look only a small rose, rather inconspicuous, but only in the inner you can see, nested, that is, the whole time treppab or on the individual departments. only on the second view the visitor recognizes that he is in mutually nested buildings. I do not know whether it has been changed in the meantime, several rooms that are located directly at the passage worked like a window in the past, because there were spaces to see how they looked at certain times, that is a small part of the collection: interior from several centuries to the 2nd world war. on small details is taken into account. at the days I was there, I actually wanted to go to the burgruine, but the weather had not played properly, as I mentioned earlier. the opening times were terrible, because the lunch break was longer than I had to see it, so it came that I was also between many more torrents than what I could see among other things the church in Handschusheim (part of town of hd, but for a few years it has not been possible to see the case. the fullness of the objects is really huge if they want to look at everything in rest, then they need at least half a day without having photographed something, then surely will be much longer! the prehistoric area is an area that is important due to the sound that has been made here, but there are more pages in the museum that you can discover: only the archaeological department is, after giving the operator, at 1,500 m2! who likes old bones will be rather disappointed, because from homo erectus heidelbergensis only the lower bone has remained! the red have left more: coins, small cowards and more. there is even a separate area that deals with the various cults. in several dioramas is shown how it looked (after the scientific science at that time and how it looked. that comes because the museum works closely with the uni. this part is supplemented by further soil findings, also with regard to the later epoche. the paintings cover a key focus of the collection, the artists they see here are a hint that they would not suspect here! among others by lucas cranach d.A, jan davidsz de heem, van der weyden or giuseppe de ribera to name the most famous. the time of the 15th century is covered. among them I have discovered some of the faces known to me from düsseldorf: for most carl theodor with gattin, jan wellem and some others, but this is not surprising because the pfalz lay the actual masterland and here one built only a woken home (after the art of the adels: . Of course the verdigo in the royal ludwig xiwiden of frankreichn since the renaissance it has been painted countless paintings, especially popular as motiw among the romantics who helped this city is so popular with the touris. But there is more to say! when I speak of paintings, this one belongs to it: prints (about 13,000 and aquarell (about 7,000 from the late middle to the last century) as I remember, the largest is dedicated to medieval carving art, but the band width also reaches up to the 20th century. in this category falls below the already described creation of the artist lehmbruck. a small area (600 m2, but in itself closed is the clothing and other textile products, many of which are among these pieces as a permanent gift of private, as well as as as I read in 2002, the collection of max berk is included here. it means that the oldest exponates from the 18th century are no longer exhibited! the art and craftsmanship makes the famous apron at the presentation, because each epoche had its muster and preferences, which were thereby expressed. I also want to visit this museum again and attach it to anyone who likes the theman areas described in the heart!
