Our waiter had a terrific personality and chatted us up about the local golf seen. The ambience is amazing, loved the lighting!

The heirloom gazpacho was a nice start to the meal and a very nice surprise in the flavor department: light, floral, and enhancedwith the natural sweetness of the heirloom melon. I thought the scallop dish was very nice but needed a touch of heat and acid;it still was a very solid and interesting app. The duck breast is a must-get. It was everything I expected of a duck breastdish from the California cuisine perspective and more: succulent, crispy skin, perfectly mid rare, and yet it never ate heavy.Use of duck confit in the salad portion of the dish was both smart and delicious. My partner loved the halibut, which wasglistening from what I saw. Loved the meal so much and a perfect end to a trip from the wine country. Thanks Valette!
