Was ianm at De Baga a mag?
An excellent fairly recent addition to the dining scene in Headingley. Superb food in pleasant surroundings and with friendly and efficient service. De Baga has become our regular destination for a meal before going to watch the Rhinos at Headingley Stadium. The food is always delicious and a little bit different to many of the more standard Indian restaurants. No hesitation in recommending De Baga. View all feedback.
What IanO dislikes about De Baga:
The food was decent, but it was overly crowded and uncomfortably hot inside. To be fair, the cricket match had just ended, which likely contributed to the high demand. View all feedback.
Its a small spot but I couldn't fault this place. Brilliant Goan food, (the Lamb Xacuti was one of the best Ive had for some time), and the staff were amazing. Try the Bombay IPA as well...superb and highly recommended. Will visit again the next time we stay at Headingley. Thanks again Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
As a returning customer, I'm always impressed with the menu here. I had the pleasure of trying my first biryani recently, and it was fantastic! The service was friendly, and the dishes were packed with flavor, plus there are plenty of great vegetarian options. It would be nice to see some hot drinks added to the menu as well. One downside was that the back door was left open for quite a while, which made it chilly inside with the freezing temperatures outside. However, overall, this place is a real gem on Headingley High Street. Service: Dine in.
