We went to the restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The service was quick, especially considering that we requested to have our food cooked in vegetable oil instead of animal fat (since my parents are vegetarian). If you don’t order fish, the prices are very reasonable. My meal, a large plate of chips with cheese, only cost £3.75. What Louis Roberts doesn't like about Bryans At The Fishermans Lodge:
I had a delicious squid and chips and found it hard to stop eating because it was just too good to waste. Even the batter was crispy underneath! I would give the meal a perfect 10 out of 10, and I’d rate Jacky, the waitress, an 11 out of 10! View all feedback.
Omg I am filled, the fish is stunning some of the best I've ever eaten. service fast efficent.
We love the fish chip meal deal at Bryans The Fishermans Lodge, 2 or 3 courses, bargain!. The service is excellent, friendly and warm. The staff are always attentive and don't mind if you ask for something a little different than whats stated on the menu. The environment is warm and inviting and the music excellent. Great for every one and families as there's plenty of space for young children/prams.
Unbelievable fish and chips. And the onion rings are the best I've ever eaten and I'm very particular. You will not be disappointed. Regarding disabled access. There's a small step at the entrance maybe an inch or two high but the staff were very accommodating and we used a small portable ramp.
The dishes started arriving slowly. First, we received the fish pakora, which was okay. Next came the regular fish and chips, along with the vegetable curry. I’d rate the squid a solid five stars, while the vegetable curry would get three stars. I should mention that the squid didn't come with a bun, which was puzzling. I didn’t think to ask about it, especially since it was quite delicious. Finally, we tried the cupcake, which turned out to be excellent. The entry for our meal was listed as a three-course deal, but the staff explained that it had been modified to make the overall cost more affordable. However, that was a mistake! They corrected it after we pointed it out. Ha ha ha! We’ll know better what to order next time!
