We ordered the salmon and pork belly meatballs. Very tasty. The waitress remembered us, so kind. We arrived at 6:30 pm on a Friday and before we left nearly every table was taken, including a large group that was tasting a variety of wines. We have tried nearly every item on the menu and love every one of them except the ravioli; too starchy, not enough filling. We wavered about ordering dessert, so the waitress suggested we try the apple cobbler. WOW! Sorry, it will be on the menu for only one week. Hint: Ask your waitress if there are any special desserts!
Music from bar so loud we had to shout to communicate during dinner in the restaurant. Food was very hit or miss. The wedge salad had absolutely no blue cheese taste. It tasted like bottled ranch dressing, so disappointed. Chicken pot pie didn't have much flavor. Braised beef short ribs were good. Burbon Streen Burger was really good and the accompanying fries were the hit of the night.
Playt is average. This was my second time eating there my first time, they ran out of the dish I wanted fried chicken within an hour of opening (blamed it on a large party). The service needs improvement. There was no host at the station to seat us when we arrived. After a few minutes (with customers out the door) someone came to seat our party. We had to get a high chair for our toddler ourselves, because the host left so quickly without asking us if we needed anything. The wait staff were unkempt and didn't look appropriately presentable for the establishment. We joked that they all looked like they were in some reform to work program. Our waiter couldn't answer any questions on a wine selection, because he was only 20. Our party only ordered two drinks from the bar, and they also forgot about one of them. They did have the fried chicken this time and it was a letdown. We had two orders of chicken, and both arrived at the table lukewarm. I remembered how great the fried chicken was at Pican, so thought this would be similarly good (wrong). The rest of our orders (shortribs, salmon) were okay. The mussels and bread pudding were the highlights. The staff needs to be better trained, knowledgeable, attentive and look a bit more professional in their grooming. Our waiter wasn't able to answer basic questions about the menu. We had to ask for refills of water and he overcharged our bill $18… Overall, for the prices they charge, the food was okay won't be getting the fried chicken if I ever go back.
Super awesome staff! Want to give a special thanks to Sebastion and Jake! The food was delicious no complaints at all.
Probably not. Service has been better in the past. Waiting a while for a server to come open my champagne. Waited a while for everything and they weren't even busy. I could see then standing around. Food didn't taste as good as before either. This was the 2nd time in a row I went there and was disappointed. Plenty of other great restaurants in the area to go to.
