I went to the Capitol Theatre to see a matinee show of The Lion King on a Sunday, I searched for a few places close by as the show started at 1pm and my friend and I wanted somewhere close to eat and did not...feel like chinese for lunch. The market grill was a great find in that it opened early for lunch from 11.30am and the service was fast and friendly there was a great choice and all at reasonable prices. Lunch f... What Darrell Morissette doesn't like about Market Grill:
It is difficult to find cheap, good food in Sydney. At the market grill you can get a steak with fries and a small beer for 12 $ - and that is cheap. The steak was actually surprisingly good, but the food was served almost cold. Place is a bit strange with very high ceílings making a weird accoustic. Seems popular among locals. View all feedback.
Lots of cheap food to enjoy. Avoid lunch. Different kitchens. Sydney has a lot of food options. Mostly Asian cuisines.
A very decent place to dine. Plentiful menu, decent cuisine. Here you can have a good meal in a respectable place. Prices are not the smallest, but this is typical of Sydney

We strolled through Sydney and found The Pub which advertised $ 10.00 Steaks.Wow, it was packed and noisy, but the Manager or whoever he was still found a small table for us and we also noticed that he always walked around to check if everybody was ok.You have to order yourself and get a beeper to collect the Meal. The serve was generous , the taste was good and the price amazing. Also if you like Beer, a Jug is $ 10.00 !!! all day any day....And its not the cheap stuff. We would go back there any time !!!!
Came here for dinner and used a Living Social voucher for two mains and two drinks. The voucher cost $26 with a supposed $56 value. So I ordered the 350 gram steak ($21.50) and a glass of house Red.When the meal arrived it looked like the 200 gram steak ($10.00). When I went up to check they confirmed the steak was the cheaper one as the other wasn't available - effectively no longer on the menu.So extremely unimpressed with my $10 steak as well which was rubbery with soggy fries and overdressed salad. See accompanying photos.I will be having words with Living Social too...
