Hungry Jack's - Haymarket

The burger was stacked so badly. It fell apart as soon as I picked it up, and I specifically asked for some tomato sauce with my chips and no tomato sauce.

This Hungry Jack 's is always really slow and seems to be poorly managed. It has been this way for years as I live in the area, and every time I drop by for a burger on the way through central it just takes far too long for service. Sorry, but not good enough speed for a 'fast food ' restaurant.

I arrived at 8:55pm I am not happy that I was made to wait for 20 minutes for a simple small Cheese Burger Meal that I never received as I HAD TO RUN OUT BECAUSE MY TRAIN WAS LEAVING... ...20 minutes for a meal that takes 5 minutes to make.The problem is that I asked BEFORE BUYING THE MEAL how long the wait was and the attendant said only 5 minutes. Then SHE SAID 10 minutes after I had paid for it. Then she said: only 5 more minutes... ...at 20 minutes I had to leave without taking my meal with me. It was either waiting one more minute for the meal or waiting 1 hour for the next train.It was 9:18pm when I ran out only JUST making my train as the doors where closing.NOT HAPPY.

I used to work near Central Station and would often get takeout from this place. I felt guilty every time I ordered food from them. After having their grilled chicken burger last month, I became ill, so I contacted the Food Authority. To my surprise, the person I spoke with had also gotten sick after eating from there, so he officially filed my complaint and assured me that action would be taken. However, I never received any feedback regarding whether this restaurant was questioned about their food safety practices. The food is definitely unhygienic, the preparation is unclean, and the customer service representatives seem unhappy as well. The only positive aspect is its convenient location, but I would recommend avoiding this place if you can.

This Hungry Jack's is quite similar to all the others I've been to. It's definitely a better option than McDonald's!
