Contribute FeedbackRenovated East Ocean restaurant in Sydney has received mixed reviews, with some customers disappointed in the service quality. Some staff members were described as rude and unhelpful when it came to customer service. On the other hand, the Yum Cha and Cantonese flavors were highlighted as excellent and authentic by other patrons. The restaurant has apparently remained largely the same over the years, and while some found the food average, others praised dishes like peking duck, crispy skin chicken, and special fried rice. Despite a negative incident involving a maggot in a dish, the restaurant was commended for its customer service in resolving the issue. Overall, East Ocean appears to be a mixed bag, with some customers enjoying their experience while others found it lacking in service and food quality.
We ordered six Dim Sum dishes and all the them were fresh and tasty except the Bean Curd roll was not very fresh and the taste was a bit off. The staffs were polite and I think I will be a return customer.
Staff helpful during busy hours. Good food, wasn't crazy busy. Well managed.
Great food, great service.. good location... we will return...
If anyone is gluten intolerance, they have no clue what it means and are useless
Is exactly how I remember it even with the renovations since last time. Some of the food was great, the other half was sub par. They were fly spraying insects over the bar when we walked in didn’t cover or clean up the glasses after. Bought 2 drinks 1 gin and tonic with lime which was filled with gin and water with no lime. 1 scotch and dry was just flat and tasted funky.
