The owner/chef even took the time to talk to the customers, adding a nice personal touch. It was a unexpectedly amazing dining experience in rural New Zealand. The lamb shank dish was absolutely delicious. If you find yourself in Hāwera, you must visit this restaurant.

They offer a great selection of food, including a kids menu, and the garden seating area is simply gorgeous. The best part is that they are very dog-friendly. Our furry friend received lots of attention from the staff, who even brought her a big bowl of cold water and some treats of her own. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place.

I also selected the coconut detox smoothie, which was a refreshing choice.

I was so happy to see the different dietary options they provide on the menu. I ordered a chicken burger (changing to GF option , their fries aren't GF since they are cooked in the same vat as gluten containing products so they offered to do me a potato mash which came with pumpkin chutney, and ordering GF garlic bread as entrée (there were 3 but I already ate one before taking the photo! The food was absolutely amazing! Both waitress and waiter were fabulous and the restaurant/Cafe itself is very cozy and very fair in pricing. We have found our favorite eatery.

Almost missed the place being outside the town but glad we stopped. Had the best eggs benedict and black bean vegan vege burger. Chips were lovely and crispy and the flavours were spot on. Table staff were very friendly and courteous. Coffee was also very good.
