The Bear - Havering
The Bear
Description
After a rocky start, this pub has seen huge improvements under the temporary management of Bob. The food and drinks are nothing special but overpriced, and the service can be rushed at times. However, the atmosphere is friendly, and the staff are accommodating for events like birthday parties and wakes. The pub offers good deals on food and drinks, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure guests have a pleasant experience. With friendly and helpful staff like Mason, Nikki, and Cody, this pub has become a go-to spot for a warm and welcoming experience.

Do yourself a huge favour give this place a swerve. It was hands down, the worst eating place I’ve visited in a long time.
Food was substandard cold veg very dry Yorkshire puddings like bricks food missing children's meals were the same size as the adults I had broccoli well it was serpose to be but it was just the stalk no cranberry sauce that was serpose to be with the meal had to wait for pigs in blankets 2 of the dinner s were missing Yorkshire puddings not a good experience
We went to Deer's Rest for a committee meeting and dinner. Wow, this place has changed for the better. We were shown to our table by Jess and offered table service. The service was great, the food was fresh, and Aurora brought out our food nice and hot. Top marks, we will definitely be back.
The Deers Rest has recently changed management, with a few hiccups. We visited last night to enjoy some food and catch up with friends. The food was delicious and our bartender, Nix, provided excellent service throughout the evening. He took great care of us with diligence and professionalism, ensuring that we all had a fantastic night.
