great place to watch the usual boot-fiascos at a startrampe personal attentive and friendly. had fish and chips, cultivated great, but undercooked. good menu and were often. not always good, but improved under the current management. in limited alternatives, my view is the best in Havelock. Nice cafe with great views pleasant staff and a reasonable menu selection and coffee very comfortable dining to relax and unwind. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
I don’t often write reviews, but I felt compelled after my experience today. Upon entering, I felt as though I was being spoken down to. I was informed that I couldn’t order just a bowl of fries. I’ve never been to an eatery where I was told what I couldn’t order. It’s a shame because I was genuinely excited about the new management. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.
Recommend can't wait to go back and try some more of the delicious meals. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Fish and Chips, Green Lip Mussels, Burger, Calamari
6 people at 3 pm all picked different food and drink Hard to put my finger on my experience. The atmosphere is great as the location is awesome. APA $24 per pint not sure it's worth that?. food was OK. Although the meat lovers pizza was a joke unless you mean 90% ham....unlikely to recommend it to anyone, and that's a real shame as I truly wanted to like this place and new owners Service: Dine in
We had a lovely dinner of tasty homemade pasta and mussels. It’s a beautiful setting by the water with friendly knowledgeable staff. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Called in for a quick lunch and ordered two burgers one chicken and one beef. Service was fast and the presentation good, but after eating half the beef burger it became obvious that it was raw in the centre. The chicken burger was described on the menu as a fillet of chicken but turned out to be a minced chicken patty of dubious taste. Having politely informed the cashier that one burger was not properly cooked and the other incorrectly described on the menu, there was no offer of a discount or waiver. $59 to provide the Slip Inn with a training opportunity was not what I had in mind. Very disappointing. IN any case, the fact that the owner of this restaurant doesn't respond to reviews, either to say thank you to the positive reviews, or to respond to the negative ones, says how out of touch they are as caterers.
