We were promptly welcomed and escorted to a delightful seating area. There were 4 adults and 2 children in our party, and we enjoyed a very relaxed atmosphere. All of the staff greeted us warmly. The food was excellent, with no complaints from any of us, and the portion sizes were just right. The restaurant had ample customer parking available. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.

However, during my last visit, there was an incident in which... read more I have visited this restaurant a few times and have enjoyed the good food and service at the bar. However, during my last visit, there was an incident in which an 18-year-old was assaulted by a man who had already been warned to leave. This unfortunate event marred the atmosphere for me. It seems that the man responsible is known for this behavior and frequents the pub, which makes me hesitant to bring my children here in the future. Despite this one altercation, I have found this pub to be welcoming and pleasant on other visits. However, I will likely choose to dine at other pubs in the area to avoid similar situations in the future.

Definitely worth a visit.

Friendly staff, good selection of drinks at reasonable prices and the food was... read more Had a Friday afternoon lunch here having arrived in the area to stay at Lakeside. Friendly staff, good selection of drinks at reasonable prices and the food was lovely and good value. The pub looks nice inside and has a large garden (with rabbits and an owl). We ate outside as it was nice weather. The only bad point (and why I didn't rate excellent) is the toilet cleaning they smelt very strongly of dirty cloth or mop.
