The 3-course festive dinner with a glass of champagne for £20 was excellent value. The portions were large, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were very attentive. If all my festive dinners are like this, I will be a satisfied and well-fed customer. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. Thank you, Cas (Caroline), for a wonderful dining experience!

They put a rugby match on especially for my brother in law to watc... read more First visit to the pub with my family and we had a great welcome from the Landlord and staff. They put a rugby match on especially for my brother in law to watch and moved to another part of the pub so they didn’t disturb us. It’s a big spacious pub with a lovely garden out the back for the kids to play in. Nice and clean lovely friendly service by the staff. Thanks guys.

This has changed hands since my last visit and is undoubtedly much better than it was, service was quick and friendly, good selection of lagers, poor selection... read more This has changed hands since my last visit and is undoubtedly much better than it was, service was quick and friendly, good selection of lagers, poor selection of ales and when I tried it the lines obviously hadn't been cleaned for a while. Lager next time, lesson learned, but still a much better experience than my last visit

Didn’t stay very long as there was no social distancin... read more Not sure what has happened to this pub as it quite frankly resembles a crèche! No one checking ID either. Didn’t stay very long as there was no social distancing or masks being worn despite the restrictions still being in place. Didn’t help that the staff were talking about the number of positive Covid cases they’ve had! Was totally shocked about the blasé attitude. Going back? Not a chance!

The owner recommended the cheeseburger, actually claimed it was a best seller. Unfortunately what I ate was uncooked horsemeat and I have been neighing ever since. Would highly recommend having a tetanus jab before entering. Hopefully the RCPA shut them down before more people gallop out of there unwell
