We’re staying overnite at the city’s RV park and found this gem of a restaurant before we parked. The brisket was fantastic, no knife required, and the sausage was great, too. The slice of white bread made me long for the original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa.Along with the two sides were raw onions and jalapeños. And I gotta know whose grandmother’s banana pudding recipe that was.It was cold and windy and the kind young lady who took our order invited us to pull our Airstream around in back of their place and she’d bring it out to us. At the time we were parked across the street at the gas station.Very kind people and tremendously good food. Not sure about the previous comment about not enough to eat but we were given huge portions. Texas sized I guess you’d say!

The sliced brisket sandwich with all the toppings was absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be making regular visits to try more items from the menu.

Fantastic people and delicious food! We made a stop on our way back to Dallas from Lubbock and enjoyed a BBQ brisket plate, plus banana pudding for dessert. We’re really glad we decided to stop! The weather was lovely, so we sat at the picnic tables out front.

The brisket falls apart effortlessly with a plastic fork, and the staff are polite and accommodating. What more needs to be said?
