Really nice food, well worth the visit, a long way from anywhere and so quiet here. Staff are really lovely.
Tip top. Last minute change of circumstances left us scrambling to find some where in the Dales for a bank holiday one night getaway. We’d never even heard of Timble. Oh but what a beautiful village. Simply stunning Our room was small but cosy and characterful with a great bathroom. But the food was the main attraction and it didn’t let us down. There’s on,y a few covers but it didn’t feel cramped. Staff were lovely. The menu was upper end of pricey but not silly money There’s plenty of veggie options and a full separate vegan menu. Wine list was brilliant even having a ice wine for puds. I loved my goats cheese bavarois with summer veg, Jamie’s pigeon went down well with a yummy parsnip purée although the only let down of the whole meal was the pommel Anna which were just on the hard side. Main of gnocchi was lush and he loved the lamb three way. Great cheese board and I had a rhubarb dish that was epic. Breakfasts were brilliant. Generous portions. Great veggie sausage. Plenty of options. Just really well done. Great place for a overnight indulgence in spectacular setting
The starters were lovely, the mains good, the puddings however were a let down too much goo on the sticky toffee pudding, actually made it that I could not eat it all. The service was good, however the young waitresses need to learn to talk to the older guests, they are good in asking parrot fashion if all was ok. But seem to lack that little extra ie. The lady brought my Scallops and said i 've got the Scallops i replied that one could get cream for that ...............and dur..................not a scoobie!
Had a fabulous meal with great service in the most stunning of locations!!! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
The amazing team at The Timble hosted my wedding and accommodated the whole party for 2 nights. Stunning location and venue (including their own cute little chapel down the road), luxurious countryside-esque rooms, and excellent food. The staff really make this place special. They managed to strike the perfect balance of being relaxed and genuine, while providing 5* service. They went over and above for us all; nothing was too much trouble. Special shout-out to Sarah and Nathan- you were graceful swans above water, but we know you were paddling like mad underneath! I wish I could go back and get married all over again!
