Reviews - Cedar's Pub
Reviews summary
At this quaint restaurant, diners experience a mixed bag of service and culinary offerings. While some patrons appreciate the delightful breakfast and the crispy fried pickles, others find the food uninspiring, with stale fries and overcooked grilled cheese for kids. The service receives praise for friendliness, yet many are frustrated by hidden fees, including a credit card surcharge and unclear item descriptions on the menu. Despite the charming atmosphere and certain standout dishes, the inconsistency may deter return visits. Overall, this establishment shows promise but requires attention to detail and transparency to enhance the dining experience.

Love Cedars, the atmosphere, and the staff! I haven't been in a while, but plan on making the 45 minute drive to eat there again pretty soon! The food is wonderful, and you can't ask for a better owner! He really has his heart in the place and shows he cares about others! View all feedback.
What Marietta Brekke dislikes about Cedar's Pub:
We waited a long time to be served despite the restaurant not being busy. There was an extra charge for using a credit card. The menu stated that our dinner would come with a salad, baked potato, and vegetable, but we were charged for each item separately. We will not be returning to this restaurant. View all feedback.

On my first visit, the waitress was very friendly and courteous. However, the food was disappointing. The mac and cheese did not resemble the typical dish, as the cheese seemed old and the taste was off. The catfish also did not taste like catfish.
Visited this restaurant during off peak hours, the food was really good. Ordered an onion burger and fries, the burger was excellent and the bun was toasted to perfection. The chips and salsa was actually better than most Tex Mex restaurants. Was disappointed in lack of interior decor however lack of pictures to keep interest until food arrived. Atmosphere was friendly and waitstaff was kind and attentive to our needs. Anxious to re visit for breakfast. Coffee and breakfast at a smalls town diner is an American staple.
I have visited this restaurant twice and enjoyed my experience both times. The food is made from scratch, and the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. The chicken fried chicken was also delicious. I definitely plan on returning to this restaurant in the future.
My husband and I decided to try out this restaurant, but we were not impressed. The fries were stale and tasted like they had been baked instead of fried, which was disappointing. The Reuben sandwich was just okay - there wasn't much corned beef and it was chunked instead of sliced. The sandwich lacked Russian dressing and the Rye bread was more like regular sandwich bread. For a $10.00 sandwich, I was expecting something more substantial like a thick bakery bread. My husband's burger was okay. The waitress offered to comp my sandwich, but I declined since we had already eaten it. Additionally, there was an upcharge for using a credit card, which I found to be a questionable business practice. It would be better to advertise the full price and then offer a discount for cash payments. I don't think I will be returning to this restaurant.
Delicious and huge onion rings! They have slushes on the drink menu, nice and cooling on a hot day. Our friends had a huge portion of catfish and the other a BLT, both enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and made us laugh, especially EmmaJo! The cook came out later to ask us how we enjoyed our meals and to tell us the menu for the Sunday buffet. We'd definately go back!

Excellent service! we had a sweet server that was very worried about us. that was delicious. but it was a little expensive, especially as there was a service fee and credit card fee that were not announced in advance. small business is hard and everything goes up, but I would have preferred to know about these fees / fees before the time.

We found out about this place after the former place closed (Blue Rooster). Decided to try the breakfast buffet. Everything was so good: sausage patties and links, the bacon wasn't burnt, biscuits light and fluffy, and the scrambled eggs were fluffy too. We got waffles with it, and those were outstanding (I'm not even a waffle guy). Our waitress/server was great: polite and efficient. They even offer a military discount. 100% we will go again.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The fried pickles were crispy and flavorful, especially when dipped in ranch dressing. The steak fingers were tender and crispy. The green beans on the side were also amazing!
This restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy delicious food, especially their Sunday breakfast and hamburgers. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the tables and chairs. I witnessed a waitress diligently cleaning a table, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. It would be a nice touch to have some classic country music playing on the radio. Thank you for a great dining experience.
