The Airport Tavern

I used to be a regular customer of the Airport Tavern in Bristol but one day I got back in my car and found that my Dashcam had been unplugged. Thats weird I thought, so when I got home I had a look at my Dashcam memory card and found that prior to unplugging my dashcam, my car had been used by someone, taken off-site and driven fast and carelessly. As a result, I would never use the Airport Tavern again for parking services. The pub is located only 400m from the Bristol Airport. Conveniently located, but overall quality is average. The interior seemed a bit run down and not very well maintained. The service from some of the staff was friendly, but others were not so much. I ordered a special, the Fajita Chicken Wrap, which came with fries and a salad. The food definitely seemed thrown together and the salad was not fresh by any means. The beer was cheap though. Wouldn't go again unless I was walking to the airport, desperate for food, and looking for convenience over quality.

Visited the Airport Tavern on our last day in England, when we stayed one last night near the Airport. It was the closest pub. Outside and also the inside are not very inviting and it felt a bit strange at first. A horse race was on TV which every guest and the personnel followed with interest. We chose a table and waited a while until the bar lady explained, that we have to order our drinks and food at the bar. While we were waiting for our food, we had a good view in the kitchen and the chef was busy preparing the meals of some other guests. One of them had a complaint about his steak and everything was solved in a very respectful manner. The chef then showed his guest his meat and he could decide, which he prefers. After that we had our meals (Tavern Burger and Beer Battered Fish&Chips which was exceptional delicious. We were really surprised in a very positive way. Also the chef, who brings the food by himself was at all times super friendly and attentive. Additional to the standard menu, the tavern offers on boards daily specials, which all sounded very interesting and yummy. The facilities and furniture are old and very used, and the tavern is separated in the restaurant and the bar with billard(pool? and gaming machines.
