After an exhausting hike on the Awa Awapuhi trail, we decided to stop by Bobbie’s for a hearty lunch, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the #3 and #4 to sample a variety of their offerings, and we were not left hungry. My favorites were the Huli Chicken and the fried fish, both of which were excellent. The Saimin was a delightful surprise as a side dish. If you have the opportunity while visiting, it’s definitely worth the drive.
Authentic local flavor. When we arrived, we noticed construction workers and police officers waiting for their lunch—a clear indication of a local hotspot. The fish, shrimp, chicken teriyaki/katsu, and pork were all delicious. The mac salad was excellent as well. It’s a cash-only establishment, but there’s an ATM just a few steps away. I also agree that we had a bit of a wait, but hey, you’re in Hawaii—who minds?
The teriyaki beef and mushrooms are excellent, the pork has strong smell, but the flavor is good. The price is reasonable, but there are a few notes if you go… cash only, waiting line for lunch, and waiting time is 10+ min at minimum. It’s a restaurant I may visit if I am near the area
This is the best restaurant we've tried on the island so far! The Korean Chicken was outstanding, and the Fried Saimen was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Omgosh the food is delicious and cheap for the amount you get. We were originally head to the bakery next door for a sandwich but smelled this place as we walked by and had to get food here instead. My boyfriend and I each got a plate and it was over flowing with delicious food I couldn’t even finish it all. The fish on the surf and turf was cooked wonderfully, flaky and moist. I want to go back already
