chef alex has brought many talented and a fascinating menu into the hamptons. we have dined here twice, and although the experience is not cheap, it is worth the price. all small plates look good, and the croquetas and the grilled oktopus we ordered during this visit were perfectly prepared. for sensory overload, they try the wonderful land and sea paella, and again all choices are seductive. service is excellent and... although I had a reservation and a payment via open table and received another text confirmation. the restaurant did not have our reservation. that was just the beginning of what turned out to be a very bad experience. View all feedback.
Interesting and extensive tapas menu lamb and soft bowl crab were excellent and chorizo were “flavor bombs”. we tried a special paella that was beautiful but not excellent. mandelkuchen was very tasty. attentive service and discussion manager made for a pleasant evening,
After being greeted at the door by the head chef, Alex, we were seated in the outside area which has wonderful ambiance. Service was fantastic, friendly, and attentive. Everything on the menu is made with all natural ingredients, nothing “out of the can”, and full of amazing flavors. There wasn’t a course or plate that fell short. Not only are we looking forward to going back, we talked all night about with whom we could share this gem of a restaurant.
A welcome addition to the Hamptons dining scene and a great use of a wonderful location at Hampton Maid. Best meal I've had in the Hamptons in years!
Exceptional! While it’s still the patio at the Hampton Maid, it’s a great patio. They’ve added some ambient lighting and the music was 1-perfect and 2-just the right volume to be heard and not intrude on conversation. We love our server Patty who we’ve know for years and delighted to see her at R.Aire. All the food was great, clearly Chef Alex is a Master Chef. Scallops, Chorizo, Calamari, we’re wonderful. Only disappointment was that we were told Ched Alex would come visit our table and that didn’t happen. It was busy so maybe next time. Not a big deal. I’m curious as to the naming of the restaurant and hope he’ll tell us then.
A much-needed addition to the area! Most of their items are/can be make gluten-free.
