This is the ideal location for fantastic, fresh seafood! The cocktails are excellent, and the ambiance is delightful, especially sitting next to the yachts. It's truly a hidden gem. You definitely need to check out this wonderful place; you won't be disappointed! View all feedback.
The food all around was amazing! the view is spectacular. I am thankful we were referred this restaurant and every time we visit the Hamptons it will be our 1st stop. I can taste those wings and lobster roll as I type this review. The drinks were amazing too. The spicy tequilla drink (can't remember the name they had for it) was on point.
Great place for lunch! Nice views of the marina, with a laid back vibe.

I visited this restaurant on a weekday during the summer and only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. The service was friendly and attentive. I recommend expecting longer wait times on weekends. The food was excellent! It's located right along the canal, offering a beautiful view where you can even see Peconic Bay and the North Fork! Some reviewers have criticized the use of plastic forks and paper plates, but honestly, who cares? As long as the food is good, it doesn't need to be a formal dining experience. It's the kind of place where you can comfortably wear shorts.
The hospitality we experienced at Canal Cafe was absolutely the worst! After moving to Hampton Bays last summer, we visited the restaurant multiple times, always opting for takeout and self-seating on the outdoor deck. However, when we ordered in advance today and arrived at the restaurant, the hostess, Dawn, refused to let us sit anywhere to eat. She insisted that the "COVID RULES ARE OVER" and that deck seating was now "full service." Even though it was a slow time (2 PM on a midweek day and not in high season), and there were many empty tables (as shown in the pictures), she would not consider allowing us to stay, despite our $60 lunch purchase. We now know their new seating policies for the future, but sadly, thanks to Dawn, we will not be returning to Canal Cafe this summer or any summer. They have lost us as customers due to their terrible hospitality!
