Was John Alhelm at Hampton Coliseum a mag?
I haven't been here in years—really, it's been ages! I'm so glad I decided to visit, especially the outside. I had no idea about the history, particularly the sports events, Dr. J, and the concerts that took place here. The park surrounding the Coliseum is wonderful, with plenty of shade trees for sunny days. There are also great walking paths for some exercise. View all feedback.
What Cathie Bales dislikes about Hampton Coliseum:
On a positive note, the indoor facility itself is decent, but the concessions also struggle to manage large crowds. The service is excruciatingly slow, so brace yourself for long lines. Moreover, the exterior of the venue looks like it’s in dire need of renovations. Overall, it falls short of being a premier venue or experience. View all feedback.
During my weekend visit to the area, I didn't get the opportunity to go inside, but the Coliseum is truly a work of art—remarkably refined in its architecture. Wow, hats off to the architect who created this masterpiece, along with the impressive entrance at Coliseum Central. I have a deep appreciation for beauty, and this place is undoubtedly stunning!
This was my first visit, and I attended the WOBBLE COLISEUM 2 event featuring Ganja. The staff were polite and very friendly, unlike many other venues and events in Ohio. The coliseum was easy to navigate, with convenient access to restrooms, drink and food stands, as well as a merchandise booth. If there’s a WOBBLE COLISEUM 3 next year in 2024, I’m definitely planning to go!
There isn't a bad seat in the venue! The Hampton Jazz Festival showcased performances by Kenny G., Babyface, and Fantasia. It was a fantastic show, and the city is a wonderful place to explore.
Organization Terrible! Our first time going to monster truck show, it was amazing. We loved every single second of monster truck show. The way Coliseum staff had it organized made no sense. When you first enter; it’s jam packed, what do you expect? However, Hampton Coliseum staff did nothing to rectify it. No clear cut directions on where to go and what to do. Also, there was so many people, but there were less than 20 security guards. We didn’t feel safe. We saw 3 accidents in the parking lot. There was no signalman. You had months to plan this and the organization was complete trash.
