What Janelle Schiller doesn't like about Grill of Arabia:
on a Friday evening a friend and I visited this locally. After we had ordered our drinks, we were asked by two more waiters whether we want to drink something. well, better than nobody asks. but the staff was not well-off, which went through all evening. - the food seemed to us moderate. I love oriental eating, but was certainly already spoiled much better. View all feedback.
The best restaurant we visited in hamburg. the food was wonderful. the falafel was the best i ever had and the humus was a dream. the personnel was very friendly.
I haven't ate such a good dinner for a long time. There must be a blessed chef in the kitchen.Grill Of Arabia offers you Syrian cuisine, which is an interesting part of Arab cuisine. You can get fresh meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan food. You will not get thousands of different dishes, but what they offer is really good. It looks like the chef really likes what he does. But not only the food will blow you away: The waiters are very nice and friendly, the decoration is unostentatious but appropriate and you get a glimpse of how it feels to be a guest of Syrian people. Highly recommended: Die Karawane der Köstlichkeiten. You won't be sorry.
Have been there with my family multiple times and it is our go-to place when it comes to middle eastern food. The place is located in a nice place in Hamburg, not too far away from downtown and very easily reachable via train. The food is delicious, the service very helpful. My only negative point is the inteterior. It looks nice, but the seats are a bit uncomfortable and I am missing this special atmosphere. Which is why I only gave it a 4/5.
I was invited to lunch by a colleague who knew this restaurant. I love Middle Eastern food and Grill of Arabia did not disappoint. Everything was home-made, fresh and delicious. We shared Mazza, the appetizer sampler with warm pita bread. I followed up with the lamb sausage Nakanek, home made authentic and very tasty, GoA prepares real mint tea by crushing fresh leaves in a tea glass, served with sugar candies. The restaurant is relaxing and quiet enough for a table conversation. The long communal tables can accommodate larger groups.Service was attentive, prompt and very friendly. I will make this my hangout on trips to Hamburg.
Ate here as closest restaurant to our accommodation in thunder and lightning storm. The food was good, mixed grill of lamb kebabs, lamb chop and chicken with hummus and mixed salad, but the restaurant lacks atmosphere. It is very sparsely decorated and has more of a 'canteen' feel about it. It's a pity as the staff were very friendly and we enjoyed the food and wine.
