Now, there is little difference between the food served here and typical pub fare.

My wife ordered the vegetarian shepherd's pie... read more I paid £18 for flavorless beef served on a bed of mashed potatoes with a haphazardly thrown on mix of vegetables. My wife ordered the vegetarian shepherd's pie but could only stomach a quarter of it. This was the worst meal I have had in a restaurant in years.

The staff are superb, very considerate and attentive. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is situated in the Burns Hall hotel and is located in a large room with windows looking out over the front gardens. The menu had a good selection of dishes with something which would suit most appetites and tastes. We ordered our drinks and food from the waiter, and this arrived in a good time, and we thought it was very good. Prices were reasonable, certainly not inflated as is sometimes the case in hotel restaurants, and after our meal we adjourned to the hotel bar. We thought that the eating experience here was very good, although we did not use it again during our stay as we tended to eat out depending on where we were visiting during the day.
