For two nights the room remained large, clean, warm quiet. the only subordinate point was that the bathroom had no heating, so it was very cold when from a hot shower. maybe a heated towel rail on the wall near the shower would help (the electric feed of plugs on the other side of the wall.) a night in the restaurant had a nice fish cure. the personal was very attentive. we have not made the short walk along the road to golden lions to the breakfast. will be staying here again

We had fish and chips and it was good. I'd like to have some gourmets, but they don't. very pleasant 60s music playing and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

I went in with my wife with fish and chips. the personal was really nice. the presentation was great. the taste was from this world. I felt like a child who first had fish and chips. To finish it all was their tarta sauce. it was great from this world. I had to ask for another dish sauce for my food. the best tarta sauce I've ever had.

The restaurant greeted us warmly with friendly staff who were very helpful. All the food we ordered arrived at the same time, hot and fresh. The portion of fish and chips with mushy peas and homemade tartar sauce was delicious. The prawn cocktail was generous with plenty of prawns, no skimping here. The scampi with chips and peas was also satisfying. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we will definitely be returning.

We (my wife and I) decided to stay in the Katch hotel on a Saturday night. The rooms were large, well lit and very clean. The bathroom and shower were OK. The temperature control was a little tricky in the shower but could be set to a nice temperature with a little bit of patience and persistence. Now, for the bad points. The rooms were very noisy, slamming doors and loud conversations internally. Externally the noise coming from the courtyard was horrific, screeching, screaming and loud drunken conversations until well after 3am. If you want a good night 's sleep, go somewhere else, unless you are likely to be clubbing until the early hours.
