What SheffieldPip likes about Glebe Cottage:
We were staying at The Old Rectory in Kildale and went for a late lunch before booking in. I had a 'just baked ' cheese scone, which was delicious and my OH took advantage of the soup and toasted sandwich deal, both were excellent and quite large. Nice friendly staff/owners, but make sure that you arrive before 3 pm for any hot food, I think cakes and drinks are available until 4pm. Try it, you won 't be disappointed... View all feedback. What willboro doesn't like about Glebe Cottage:
Been a while since we were last here and to my surprise, new ownership/management. It's shows. We only had coffee-Latte. It was nice enough but not hot. A number of people in the group had sandwiches and we're happy with them. The issue here is the service. Not welcoming at all. Sadly, I wouldn't go back. View all feedback.

read moreThe tea room under new ownership offers decent coffee and satisfying sandwiches, but lacks warmth in service. While some visitors appreciate the location and changes made by new owners, others find the atmosphere lacking due to excessive signs and unaccommodating policies. On the positive side, the food is enjoyable with options like paninis and delicious brownies, and the staff are friendly and informative about local attractions. Prices are reasonable, making it a great stop for hikers and cyclists. Despite some mixed reviews, many find the tea room a pleasant place to rest after outdoor activities.
