One of the most beautiful restaurants in the UK! The main dining room is tucked away in a beautifully tiled room at the back. The food is of high quality, excellent value, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. There is also a charming pub at the front of the building. Highly recommended, a visit to the Zetland is a must.

Nestled near the station, this charming restaurant boasts a beautifully restored interior that exudes old-world elegance. Patrons appreciate the inviting ambiance, complemented by soft lighting and exquisite ceramic tiles. While the menu features limited options, standout dishes like the steak hache and toffee brioche dessert receive rave reviews. Guests enjoy attentive and accommodating service, despite occasional hiccups with menu availability. The establishment is also a popular spot for events, as evidenced by its successful hosting of a wedding breakfast. Overall, it offers a delightful dining experience, making it a recommended destination for both casual visits and special occasions.
Came for a drink last Sunday and caught sight of the dinning room , so booked for dinner the following Saturday. The staff were brilliant like chatting with old friends . But OMG that dinning room sheer candle lit class. It's stunning and the whole evening was great. I asked where the artesian bread came from. It was delicious. Turns out it's made by the chief on the premises. If you want a relaxing drink or a stunning candle lit meal this is the place to try.
There are numerous reasons to visit the Zetland. The food is exceptional, with a creative and thoughtful menu that showcases the chef's expertise. My wife and I savored every bite of our three-course meal and would highly recommend the Zetland based solely on the quality of the food. It is undoubtedly the top choice in Middlesbrough. Additionally, I suggest stopping by for a drink or meal to admire the stunning decor, especially the impressive Victorian tiling in the back room. The Zetland is truly a hidden treasure. Finally, Philip Christie is a delightful host, offering a warm and accommodating experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This restaurant is very cozy and the service was excellent. We enjoyed drinks and conversation for a long time. The owner even served complimentary food, so we highly recommend it.
