It was an excellent choice; Liberty behind the bar was... read more My wife and I had a trip over to Easingwold earlier today and went to the Commercial for a carvery meal. It was an excellent choice; Liberty behind the bar was a very friendly and accommodating young lady and squeezed us in at a table for two as we didn't book ahead. The chef Liam had a pleasant sense of humour and made sure we were served an excellent meal. All in all it was a lovely carvery meal, nice beef/pork/gammon on offer and a large selection of vegetables. We went for the medium plate at £9.95 pp and it was top notch and good value for money. Liberty also pulled one of the best pint's of John Smiths bitter I've ever had! We won't be waiting too much longer before we make a return visit.

The carvery options are fairly small co... read more We booked a Sunday carvery for 6 people due to limited options in easingwold and what a great place it turned out to be. The carvery options are fairly small compared to larger establishments but this meant the food was cooked to a higher standard. This could be one of the best carveries I have eaten and all our party shared similar comments. Prices are great for the quality of food and service at around £10 per head. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, a pleasure to be around. We stayed in the beer garden for a while as the weather was beautiful, which is bigger than inside the pub.
