Was Anonym at The Local a mag?
Cool new spot in Halifax, that has an old time feel to it located on Gottigen St.This place is small with seating for about 40 or so and it's basically the front part of the Marquee that has now been walled in. It has a pool table and variety of booths and tables. They have blues jam on Sundays and cheap pints of their own draught ($3.75)I had the fish tacos. They were ok, not mind blowing, but very edible, just a bi... View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about The Local:
Met friends here on May 13. The bar itself is quite charming and the staff excellent. The food, however, was bland. Ordered what I believe was suppose to be margherita pizza. If was basically a thin slice of cardboard, tomatoe paste and a basil leaf. decent atmosphere, crappy food. View all feedback.
The Local was already amazing, but with Wave Foods taking over the kitchen, it has taken things to a whole new level. I especially enjoy the Monday trivia nights, as well as just stopping by for a Horsepower cocktail and a game of cards anytime.
This charming local bar is ideal for studying, romantic dates, or hanging out with friends. They offer a wide variety of drink options, including a large selection of non-alcoholic beverages. The rotating menu always delivers delicious food, and the venue hosts enjoyable events with welcoming staff. With its spacious layout, patrons can choose to relax in a quiet corner or socialize with others while playing pool.
The ambience at this restaurant is fantastic! I really enjoyed the drinks and the live music, which featured tap dance, drums, and more. The decorations and wooden furniture truly add to the overall vibe of the place.
This place is great, especially before a mooseheads game. I'd definitely recommend a visit as a family or with friends. Food and vibe get 5s.
