A historic drive in spot in Bedford, the chicken burger originally built its name on their famous chicken burger. However, everything on their menu is really good, The hamburgers are terrific. But if you want a surprise try the milkshakes!!! Many flavours and they are all terrific. View all feedback.
What llinel doesn't like about The Chicken Burger:
It is always busy but we have yet to order anything that was decent. I did like the take-out and they bring it to the car in a tray so you reach in and take out the bag. SO seemed like a good idea during a pandemic. But the fish was badly overcooked and no tartar sauce with it. The containers are paper and likely good for the environment but flimsy and difficult for eating in the car. The chicken burger is loose meat... View all feedback.
The hamburgers were cold and flavorless, the fries were terrible and cold. I will not be returning for a while. The prices were high and the quality did not live up to what it used to be.
I have been going to The Chickenburger for over fifty years and the last two times I have been very disappointed in the quality of the food. My much loved chickenburger seemed to have an added spice that was not tasty. The chicken, other than this spice, was tasteless. The onion rings were nothing but undercooked batter and tasted like grease that hadn't been changed in a while. I have company coming next month from out west and I know the first thing they will want to do is come to The Chickenburger. I hope I am not disappointed one last time, as it will be my last time.
This is a great spot for a quick bite to eat. Food is of high quality and the service is quick and efficient. Highly recommend. Fun place to visit.
Hard to avoid going here once in a while. Food is well prepared and is tasteful. Only complaints would be the portion size. As potatoes are not that expensive to process. They could provide larger amount of fries with the meal, instead of the kid size portions for the price. Also the takeout for some items is worrisome. As they will put items like fish and chips in a small paper dish. Put another paper dish over the top,and put in a bag. So I go to eat and the top Paper dish falls off. The fish and chips are scattered loose inside the paper bag. Recommendation -Use a larger paper dish to accommodate more fries. And put a rubber band over both dishes, top and bottom to prevent spillage in the bag. If Chickenburger would focus less on brand marketing and address customer satisfaction issues, they would secure a brand with more sales and repeat customers. Come on Chicken Burger, get real.
The impact of Covid has definitely been felt at this restaurant. Many places are experiencing staffing issues, but the staff here seemed indifferent. I visited on a Saturday night, which may have been a busy evening. Unfortunately, my order and the orders of three other people were mixed up, which seemed to be a result of carelessness.
