Killam is described as a Soviet dungeon, with coffee so hot it requires a 10-minute wait. The medium roast Paradisa blend is criticized for its stale taste and poor quality. However, the restaurant is praised for its top-notch products and excellent service. Overall, it is suggested to visit Second Cup for a better coffee experience than what Killam has to offer, despite being slightly better than Tim Hortons.

I realize this place is small, but I've still managed to rack up many study hours at this location.

Let's set some expectations: this is not a large coffee shopThere isn't much seating and some of it can be a bit on the cramped side.

I was never a Second Cup person mostly because I was never a coffee person until a colleague got me hooked on Starbucks lattes back in the early 2000s.

Killam is like a Soviet dungeon. I would recommend going to Second Cup and getting a large cup of coffee with cream to make the atmosphere in the library more tolerable. It's definitely a better option than Tim Hortons, although that might not be saying much.

This is a great spot in the Dalhousie area to enjoy a hot drink or coffee. The service is always fast and friendly, with cozy seating areas where you can relax for a while.
