Pan fried haddock, rice pilaf & veggies were excellent and cooked just right. Fast & friendly service up on the middle deck. We were heading to the casino to see Kim Mitchell so our waitress made sure we got in & out fir supper in a timely manner which was awesome too! View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Lower Deck Downtown Halifax:
We ( my daughter, my wife and I) wanted to have lunch on August 5, 2017 around 2 pm. We sat at a table inside and waited for 15 minutes. Although multiple waitresses walked all around our table, none ever acknowledge our presence so we walked out to find another establishment in the area. I'm certain the loss of our business didn't impact their day, but I will not even try to visit that establishment in the future as... View all feedback.
The Lower Deck is a great place to visit! For only $9, you can enjoy live music, delicious food (at reasonable prices), and excellent service. The atmosphere truly captures the essence of East Coast culture, making it a must-visit spot. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this restaurant offers a fantastic combination of entertainment, cuisine, and ambiance that is unbeatable.
Overall experience was not pleasant. This was recommended by my friend, so we thought to give it a try. Bartenders was fantastic, very professional and helpful all around, however, the waitress on the other side was completely different. Not only she forget to check on our table for about 35 minutes (this was us asking for the waitress twice, and she was checking on other tables in front of us), she was also very rude to us. We waited about a hour before we got our food, which is only single appetizer. Honestly, we thought this was a good restaurant but it really failed our expectation. We felt no other things other than being racial discriminated because people came after us, got they order taken before we did. Service seems to be a main failure that people has mentioned in the previous comments, so I am glad to see we are not the only one who are treated wrong. Would I recommend this place for a quick drink? Sure, it has its scenery. For food, save some time and eat before you come for drinks because you might starve for a while.
Stopped in for a quick dinner and stayed half the night. The staff is friendly, the food was good and then the band started. I believe they were called Shade and they played classic rock to top 40 pop. If you closed your eyes, you would think it was the real band. It is a standard drink selection. There are no specialty drinks, beer, wine and bar shots.Parking: This restaurant is located on the waterfront so there is plenty of parking just not right at the restaurant.
You are not allowed to dance on the dance floor! If you do, you will get removed from the bar. Me and my 2 friends from over 30 years reunited and thought that we'd go to the Lower Deck. We were excited as we were previous bar staff back in the 90's at some great bars. We were not aware of this rule of not being able to dance on the dance floor. My friend went up to dance and she immediately was approached by a female door person who said that she was kicking her out. We had no idea about this rule. Anyhow, the music was good but I would recommend going somewhere else. Price per person: CA$40–50 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
I had the fish and chips, and the pieces of fish were thick and a nice size. Otherwise though, the experience was not great. There are two different servers, one for food and one for drinks. The food server came first, listed the beers on tap, and then said she only deals with food and we needed to order drinks from someone else. The drink server came and said we could only have a choice of 4 Keith’s product beers on the patio. Since the food server had offered us Stella, apparently mistakenly, they agreed to bring it from inside the restaurant as some kind of exception. The food server took our order for a burger and then came back to say they did not have cheddar cheese, and needed to substitute. We waited a long time for our food, and the fries had obviously been under the heat lamps for quite a while.
