Last time I was in Halifax we happened upon this amazing shop a few doors down from where we were staying, it was so good that I have dreamed of the cupcakes for months now. I am lucky enough to have returned to Halifax a couple of weeks ago and made my husband buy us cupcakes, OMG just as amazing as I remember. I recently tried my first Layers cupcake, a red velvet flavor, and I couldn't eat it quickly enough! The quality was excellent. I highly recommend trying them out!
So we decided to stop and try a cupcake. On first appearance the cupcakes looked great. So we asked about pricing and was taken back a bit by the price. But hey we are here so we proceed to buy two cupcakes. They had a nice selection and my wife chose a coconut one and I chose a red velvet. Well I must say that they were amazing. We would certainly go back but would probably buy more as to reduce the single cupcake price a bit not to mention get to enjoy more of their wonderful cupcakes. Thanks
I want to start by saying I'm 40 years old and am the girl who always orders dessert. When I first had Layers cupcakes I couldn't believe the taste of the rich, creamy and smooth flavour of the cupcake topping. Then to bite into the dence cupcake bottom, it was hearty and substantial. It wasn't full of air and crumbly like the ones you can buy elsewhere. I have been sampling Layers cupcakes for a couple of years now and it always a treat. Thank you Layers!
