Kyo offers a vibrant atmosphere with live jazz, exceptional cocktails, and a diverse menu that delights many diners. While several patrons rave about the delicious food and attentive service, some experiences have been marred by issues like long wait times and high noise levels. The cozy space can feel crowded, leading to rushed service on busy nights. Despite mixed reviews on certain dishes, particularly the ramen, many agree that Kyo deserves a visit for its charming ambiance and impressive drink selections. Overall, this restaurant is seen as a hidden gem worth exploring, albeit with some reservations.

What Anonym dislikes about Kyo Kitchen:
At Kyo Kitchen, live jazz music was playing loudly when we left. The restaurant is quite small, and with all the windows and doors closed because of the cold, I don’t understand why the volume was so high. My friend and I sat at the table nearest to the performers but had to shout to talk. The servers were very friendly, and the menu offerings were appealing, but overall, the experience was disappointing. View all feedback.
This was an unexpected gem of a restaurant. It was a first visit for all of us. The dining room has a lively downtown vibe. It was moderately loud but one could easily carry on a conversation without having to shout across the table. The cocktail menu was varied and interesting. The cocktails were prepared by the mixologist with great care and precision-an entertaining show in its own right! Our server was very helpful, good natured and professional in every way. The service was efficient and unobtrusive. The menu was also of good variety and grouped into different sized plates. There were six of us at the table so we shared multiple dishes. All were excellent. We did not try the ramen. The food was excellent and delivered to the table in short order and at the perfect dining cadence. All in all, this was an exceptional dining experience. It is certainly much better than some of the higher profile restaurants that have opened downtown recently. It deserves to do well and is worth more than one visit.
We have been here before and it was incredible, the food is good but the service could’ve been better. They seemed to have a scheduling problem and told us that we might have to cut it short for other guest reservations. Felt rushed which was unfortunate. But the food was good and the ambiance was very neat.
All plates were good, a taste of Japanese food but something was missing to get excellent. Chicken cook was very limit Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
