Despite some service and cleanliness issues, diners enjoyed dishes like the breakfast pizza and Haddock burger. The casual, pub-like ambiance is perfect for unwinding with a pint of local brew. The Thai Peanut bowl is a fan favorite, and special events like Meatless Mondays showcase the kitchen's creativity. With a friendly staff and cozy atmosphere, this spot is a must-visit for those looking for a laid-back dining experience.
A small group dropped by there last weekend and we all left very impressed with the food! what we were served in taste and value far out weighed the cost. Top Chef food and presentation with the normal pub fare price. Our waitress was just...a sweet heart, made several trips back and forth to ensure we had what we needed and our drinks were topped off. The bar itself is very tastefully done in the traditional local pub style and all seems very relaxing. The big bonus was finding out that all the food was sourced locally in support of local small farmers, and a special touch was they are replacing paper coasters with cloth Tartan Pattern,of local Families and Regions.Nice Touch! Great Job.
We made reservations for a dinner before an event taking place nearby. The restaurant was busy but the waitress was not helpful or apologetic at all for our long wait for food and drinks. It took hours for our mains to be served. An...acknowledgment of this and an apology would have gone a long way. We won’t be back.
The Foggy Goggle serves up a great breakfast menu! Be sure to get the breakfast sandwich made on a LF bakery croissant. Game changer.
I was in Halifax for business and The Foggy Goggle was recommended by a local. I went on a Thursday evening with one other, for food and a beverage. I had the Haddock burger and foggy spuds. The food was delicious as was the locally...brewed stout which was recommended by our waitress. The laid back atmosphere was perfect for visiting, having a conversation and just relaxing. Our waitress Olivia was fabulous, very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to deal with. The photography on the walls, is beautiful. Highly recommend eating here!
We went there for lunch on a Friday work day. The menu looked decent but strangely overpriced for what you get. They do have a wide verity of drinks, beers and wines but nothing special. I’m not sure how it is on a busy night...but at the time we were there the bartender seemed like he was new or maybe just bored. A co worker ordered a pizza which came with nothing and each topping was extra but hey liked it. I had an appetizer dish that changes daily and on that day it was a baguette with different vegan spreads. It was strangely delicious. I still think it’s overpriced and the drinks could’ve been done better. The service was nice though and the staff was friendly and welcoming.
