Poor Ambiance. Lighting was the main issue. It felt like we were in a hotel lobby restaurant. No music, bright overhead lights, casual staff, under dressed patrons. For example, The cutlery was placed directly on the table without linens...chairs were out of place at the table next to us...overall, a very casual environment for a deluxe, fine dining restaurant. We dressed up to go out but most people were not some even wearing shorts. It is possibly a function of a changing society but it seems as if the standards have dropped for fit and finish and that is disappointing. The food was delicious but a fine dining experience is not only about great food. We might elect to go to a place with better, more romantic, atmosphere.

The calamari was tough and presentation lackin... read more Da Mauricio has always been our go to restaurant for special occasions but we were disappointed on this occasion. The calamari was tough and presentation lacking. My wife's seafood risotto was excellent and she enjoyed it. Unfortunately there was a mix up with my dinner and I was initially served the wrong dish. The problem was rectified but by then my wife was 3/4 through her dinner.
