I am sure many people would not like looking at the side of a cruise ship, but we decided to have fun, and make up stories of the things we could see going on.

Gnocchi was mushy.. calamari was off and scallops overcooked. Service and ambiance was great , as we remembered. Maybe just a bad night in the kitchen?

I had made a dinner reservation for 5pm November 30, 2024. When I arrived (on time) I was told there were no tables left in the dining room and my party of 3 had to sit in the bar. The same thing happened to two other couples. Once seated our waitress apologized and gave us drink menus. She said she’d be back with waters for the table. That never happened. Ten minutes later she came back and took our drink orders 45 minutes later one of my guests had still not gotten their drink so I had to walk to the bar and request it. We ordered our food at 540 as we had an engagement at 7. The food arrived at 645 so we ate quickly and left. The food was good but the evening was ruined so nothing could have helped at that point. I have had good experiences at Cafe Chianti before but I’ll never go back. There are so many great restaurants in Halifax.
