Was marc amedeo at The Bicycle Thief a mag?
We went with a party of 6 and you can see the variety of plates we got. I won't go into details but rather summarize that the food was excellent , simply excellent nothing we didn't like, the cocktails were excellent, the service was excellent. It is very very busy at the place and it seems very loud and chaotic which I give 4 stars, but it is amazing how the kitchen can produce this reliable high quality food.Would w... What Shakira Purdy dislikes about The Bicycle Thief:
I was told by my server that cross contamination is possible. Very little GF options. No gluten free bread or burger buns and when I asked for the burger without a bun I was told it had gluten in it. View all feedback.
The call to Italian cinema art is evident. the furniture expresses style and originality. a mix of photos, lamps, wine bottles that does not infuse nostalgia or melanconia for the past, but pride and claim for ransom and the never indisposable statement of what can be achieved with commitment and tenacity. a kind of paradigm of the land that houses the restaurant. but that draws richness of flavors, for example from the sea. do not expect the variety of Italian dishes and their unmistakable aromas and aromas, but those ordered, lobster, halibut, shrimp, mussels were definitely exquisite. skepticisms on spaghetti as an unjust seal from the first approach. valid contours. appropriate wine list.
We’re from Ottawa and we absolutely loved The Bicycle Thief!! We ate there twice during our day stay in Halifax. Everything was perfect! Karla (or Carla) provided us with excellent service. We loved her cheerful personality. She covered our mussels appetizer during our second...visit even though she wasn’t serving us. Thank you!!! That’s amazing customer service. We will definitely recommend your restaurant to people we know and we’ll visit you again the next time we’re in Halifax. Thanks again! We’ll miss your restaurant!!
We were there for lunch and found the food to be lacking in taste and flavour. On top of it the waiter spilled hot coffee all over our table and it went all over my pants and he apologized. Luckily it was not scalding but...I had on a brand new pair of pants that was the first time I wore them. Luckily they were navy blue and the coffee did not stain them but it was not a pleasant experience at all. My husband had a few appetizers and I had a main course and the one coffee and our bill was over No wine or dessert etc. No extra charge for the coffee in my lap! To add insult to injury he did not offer anything to make up for his blunder. He even charged us for the coffee and did not offer a dessert or anything for compensation. Needless to say we won't be returning to that restauant.
Started off with fresh oysters and the antipasto . Followed with the seafood stew which was loaded with seafood, absolutely fantastic! My son had the rack of lamb and that was amazing. Wife had lobster pasta and it was delicious. Our waiter Jack provided excellent service! Thank you Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Friendly accommodating service. Cute decor. Sat by the boardwalk, and there was drunk boat party close to us but I didn't mind because they had great taste in music. The complimentary red pepper spread was surprisingly good although the bread could have been warmed or toasted. The BBQ ribs were good and filling but that was typical BBQ sauce. The polenta fries were delicious. The lobster pasta was great and was a good portion. The butterscotch layered cake was delightfully moist. I enjoyed my High fashioned and other cocktail pictured but they could put more effort into presentation. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
