Went for a walk on the waterfront and OMG! the smell of the fish and chips cooking brought us to the little hut on the waterfront called the Battered Fish. The line up to order was 10 deep at least and that many waiting for their orders as well. The service was amazingly fast and the service was great. We sat at one of the tables located behind the restaurant and enjoyed our fish n chips. They were amazing.Hot, crisp... View all feedback.
What Arielle Corkery doesn't like about Battered Fish:
I just ate at the battered fish in the Halifax shopping center and paid 20 bucks for a bottle of root beer 2 pieces of fish and a cup of seafood chowder. The food was very good but the portions were small. I am still a little hungry and I know I can get a much larger meal at my favorite restaurant for the same amount of money. At least it was a nice alternative to fast food. View all feedback.
This restaurants is one of the best restaurants ive ever been to in my entire life its got the best fish in town especially the dipping sauce now that is really good if only i could live off that food. keep up the good work and ill most likely wanna visit MORE OFTEN.
In the land of fish and chips the Battered Fish is just okay. The thing I do not like about them the most is their small die cut fries. They are smaller than mcCain shoestring potatoes. I understand that they do this so that they cook faster but they also make things so much oilier. The fish was fresh but again very oily almost like the oil was not hot enough and the fish spent too much time in the fryer.
Best sea food in the city. Always a line up on the Boardwalk waiting to be served. Try the fish bites and chips! awesome! Lots of tables and seating nearby on the Boardwalk.
I examined the menu and noticed that everything was deep-fried.
Halifax is a place I go to bar-hop, so by the end of the night I can never really remember which bars we went to, and we drank, but I always remember to get some battered fish in me before I head out drinking. As I travel on a budget, I tend to avoid ordering entrees at the bars, so I look for street food, and this place totally hits the spot! (Sorry donairs, though I love you too
