The Argyle, a unique pub in Halifax, offers a rustic atmosphere with a true Haligonian spirit. While the short menu may seem limited, the food is delicious - especially the mussels and lamb burger. The rooftop patio is a pleasant spot to dine, although parking can be an issue. Despite the occasional service mishap, the staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall, The Argyle is a good choice for a casual meal out, with gluten-free options available. Just be sure to double-check their hours before heading over to avoid disappointment during special events like burger week.

Was Tyrique Bergstrom at Argyle Bar & Grill a mag?
It is bar food with a great stove for pizza and you can always get good food and good service. They have gluten free choices and it's a good place to go before Neptune theatre. View all feedback.

What Susanne Scholz dislikes about Argyle Bar & Grill:
This is an average pub, not fancy but I get the feeling that is the intent. Old characteristics which make it unique. Sit down bar plus tables and booths. Could be a party atmosphere on a busy night. Short menu but enough choices for most people. No parking. View all feedback.

We stopped here for dinner early on a Friday. There seemed to be a few specials and we were able to sit up on the rooftop patio. It's too bad that the street is all torn up but that is not the fault of the business. The food was fine, we enjoyed the patio, our waitress was good, bathrooms were gross.

My first night in Halifax (My 3rd trip in 6 months) my boyfriend takes me to his favorite Saturday night haunt, the Argyle, for his favorite mussels in the city. I definitely understand why. Great rustic atmosphere with a true Haligonian spirit. I also had the lamb burger which was new to me; although I love lamb I had never had it ground. Perfectly seasoned, cooked and presented. That with a garden salad side and their house dressing made for the perfect return dinner.

I always forget about this restaurant, but I am consistently happy whenever I go there.

The Argyle is a three-story establishment with a main floor that serves as a bar and restaurant. The food is decent but nothing stands out as exceptional.
