No complaints about the place. I met an old high school buddy there, and we had dinner, a few drinks, etc. The staff was delightful, my wife got me a Guinness polo shirt that I plan to wear on the job, food was good. My only comment is that it ain 't the original in Dublin, one for which I have a particularly soft spot. Staff and management, don 't take that personally. Heaven (or St. Kieran! knows I 'll be back. What Leonard Mendoza doesn't like about Guiness Brewery Road Way Express:
Ok here is the deal. If your looking to meet up and have a couple of beers with some friends or love beer? This is a great place. If your entertaining family and want to get dinner all together? This might not be the place to go. There is no wait staff. You order and pay online. They then bring your food and drinks to you. There are no refills on soft drinks or stuff like tea and at $3 a pop for a kid size cup? It ca... View all feedback.
What a shame. I spent the money for a brewery tour and enjoyed it however when the tour was over and ordered a drink at the bar I was completely disappointed!!! I ordered a drink that was a beer that was a 10oz pour per their menu and received a drink that was in a 12oz tulip glass obviously less than 1/2 full. When I questioned the volume the bartender said it was a 10oz pour (obviously not even close) She said “do you want it or not” it was clearly 6oz or less and more like a shot. I will never be back based on the service I received!!!! What a shame!!!
We signed up for the 5:30 tour to see how Guinness makes its legendary ... and experimental ... beer! The tour guide was knowledgeable about Guinness history and brewing techniques! We only participated in the free tour of just the brewery in the basement. About five people from our group then went upstairs for the tastings, which they paid for. My family ate dinner in the tap room after the tour where we could also taste a few beers! Entrees were a bit pricey and you order from a QRC code. But it was still an enjoyable evening to check out a Baltimore icon!
Everything you imagine it to be. The tour, the gift shop, the beer! The architecture is interesting too in a historic part of Dublin.

For us, we enjoyed the beers that they have. Lots of different options, and many that are experimental (not commercially available anywhere else). Disappointed they did not have Harps as an option, but there were plenty of choices. We had 2 flights so we could try more of their different beers, which is normally a good way to try smaller 4-5oz samples of more beers. Found out when we closed our tab out that flights were $20 each. A regular pint was about $8, which seemed more reasonably priced, but the flights seemed over-priced. I am used to flights being in the $10-12 range. We did not try any food, but will do that next visit. But we will avoid the flights next time.
