Hewitts Dairy Bar - HAGERSVILLE

The service at this restaurant is terrible. I enjoy Hewitt's ice cream and milkshakes, but the current staff lacks proper customer service skills. They were constantly engaged in private conversations while working, it took 15 minutes to receive my milkshake, and I was completely ignored by the staff. I have no plans to return.

This restaurant is old-fashioned and simple, but it hits the mark with its delicious ice cream treats and grilled dishes. There aren't many places like this left. It was my first time back in 45 years and surprisingly, it looked exactly how I remembered. It's a fantastic spot for a classic meal of sandwiches and milkshakes. I hope to return sooner next time. The food even had the same great taste I remembered.

I was extremely disappointed by the poor quality and flavor of the ice cream at this restaurant. I have been a loyal customer of Hewitt's for years, always enjoying the delicious taste and high quality. However, this time, the ice cream was bland, lacking in distinct flavors and not creamy. Additionally, it was quite expensive. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and not worth the trip to Hewitt's anymore.

Our bus tour stopped off at Hewitt's Dairy bar for ice cream, we had over 45 people and the staff were excellent in serving us in a timely fashion, my wife had burgundy cherry and I had banana and cherry. The ice cream was fantastic.

I had no idea going in, this place would be a total blast from the past! You come in and sit as a group at a long counter. You can see your food being cooked right in front of you. Everything is old school and I’m sure they’ve been doing it this way FOREVER! Menu is nothing special. Place was absolutely packed when we were there so, I must be missing something because the food is average diner food. The sundae was tasty. Staff were extremely young and needed some instructions from a more senior staff member but they seemed to work pretty hard.
