Hewitts Dairy - HAGERSVILLE

Where do I start on this place? They have the best ice cream ever and it's always soft. The service is quick and welcoming. It's also surprising cheap too! For 4 people, about $15. The line is a bit long but it's worth the wait!

Thus place is a gem in the middle of nowhere. Flavors are amazing, price is unbelievable, great buck for the money, very friendly and efficient staff. One scoop is 4 dollars+tax and it is huge. I have tried the salty dog(caramel and chocolate chips) and raspberry cheesecake type, it was extremely delicious. We will definitely go there again, highly recommended.

I ordered a toasted western to go. When I unwrapped it, the bread was slightly toasted on one side, untoasted on the other and soggy. There was no onion and no ham. Wouldn't recommend.

Went here for lunch at around 1:30pm this past Saturday and the place was busy! Thankfully there were a few stools remaining around the corner at the counter. We were quickly greeted by the waitress that was friendly. We ordered the Banquet Burger and Fries. You can actually see them cooking everything up on the grill. Our burgers came within 15 minutes and they were loaded with toppings (see picture). The burger was nice and crispy, just the way I like it! Our fries came shortly thereafter and were super crispy. For dessert I ordered a slice of apple pie with whipped cream. It tasted really good as well with small chunks of apples. Then if that wasn't enough, we had ice cream on the other side of the place. The staff here are super friendly and always happy to answer any questions. I ordered a small moose tracks (vanilla base with chocolate sauce and peanut butter cups) which was quite tasty. This place never seems to disappoint and we will definitely be back for another lunch and ice cream!

Don't go, because it's a HUGE waste of your money. The scoops are sooooooooooo small that they literally cost $1 per bite. Incredibly disappointing. Slow service. Awful experience from start to finish.
